Today’s collaboration with Cellar Image of the Day brings us photos of the Stockholm metro stations, which have bedrock exposed, either untouched or painted, as part of the decorations!

    Beautiful.

    Too bad it's in Stockholm.

I used to ride the blue line weekly - this one is Centralen (the central station), IIRC. It is an amazing sight - it looks almost too natural.

The Swedish metro spans 101 stations, which isn't bad for a reasonably small capital. Tickets are $5.65 for a signgle fare tho, which may explain where they find the cash for paint.
