Ice sculptors Junichi Nakamura and Peter Slavin created this awesome ice sculpture of a praying mantis out of a single block of ice for the World Ice Championships in Fairbanks, Alaska. Link – via A Welsh View

Sweet jumping Montezuma on a flaming trampoline! The DETIAIL! I keep having to look at the background to make sure this isn't someone's idea of a photoshopping joke. I'm totally stunned!

I wish there was some way to preserve this. It's BEAUTIFUL!

Fairbanks in the winter is fine. but if you want it to last you will need a deep freeze

My wife and I just returned from the Ice Carving Festival. The Mantis was my personal favorite and it is even more impressive in person.
