Ms. Pac-Man is twenty-five years old this year, so to celebrate, The Today Show has a list of 7 trivia about the video game icon:
5. Hardcore Ms. Pac-Man geeks have developed their own jargon, as explained on the site Pactionary.com. For example, "premature pac-ulation" occurs when players mistakenly think they’ve eaten a power pellet, only to turn around and die while trying to eat a ghost.

Some people go to great lengths to get some peace and quiet. Take for instance, Poet Salim Hossen Gaus of Bangladesh:
Every day Salim Hossen Gaus winches himself 30m (100 feet) in a precarious home-made pulley to a small wooden platform at the top of a palm tree.
He built the platform to get some peace and quiet and read his favourite books.

Don’t mess with this killer robot:
The manufacturer, Elbit Systems Ltd., said that the VIPeR’s small size and dual treads enable it to move "undeterred by stairs, rubble, dark alleys, caves or narrow tunnels."
As well as bomb-sniffing and bomb disposal equipment, the VIPeR can carry an Uzi machine-pistol or plant a grenade. The weapons would be aimed using an onboard video camera.

In 2005, Singapore scientist King Bang Lee and colleagues invented a battery powered by urine:
To make the battery, Lee and his colleagues soaked a piece of paper in a solution of copper chloride and sandwiched it between strips of magnesium and copper. This sandwich was then laminated between two sheets of transparent plastic.
When a drop of urine is added to the paper through a slit in the plastic, a chemical reaction takes place that produces electricity, Lee said.
The prototype battery produced about 1.5 volts, the same as a standard AA battery, and runs for about 90 minutes. Researchers said the power, voltage, and lifetime of the battery can be improved by adjusting the geometry and materials used.

Thanks to Serbian vampire hunters, now there’s absolutely zero chance that former dictator Slobodan Milosevic can ever come-back from the dead:
Serbian vampire hunters rammed a wooden stake through the heart of former dictator Slobodan Milosevic to stop him ‘returning from the dead’.
Miroslav Milosevic, no relation to the former president, gave himself up to police who have launched an investigation.
He claimed he and his fellow vampire hunters acted to stop the former dictator returning from the dead to haunt the country.
When the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, evicted Bell’s Amusement Park after 40 years, they had to dismantle this creepy ride called Phantasmagoria. Kirk Demarais has the inside tour of the abandoned ride:
As fate would have it, last Friday some close friends and I were granted a final walk-through tour of this mysterious ride! This time the lights were on and we were guided by the man who knows "the Phantaz" better than any other living soul, Buddy Stefanoff, the park’s electrician and member of the Bell’s family for over seventeen years. During this bittersweet excursion, less than a week before the entire structure was scheduled to be torn down, Buddy related a wealth of facts, memories and even "secrets" pertaining to the beloved Tulsa landmark. It is my distinct pleasure to share with you this exclusive last look inside the Phantasmagoria.
