Crosswalks are Safer Ad Campaign.

In a clever series of "Crosswalks are Safer" ads by Latina Insurance, the safety of the crosswalks are illustrated as the only safe way to cross roads of alligator-infested waterways, bottomless chasm, and snake pits. Link (click pics for larger images)

ha, cute! i live in a city (mtl) that repaints the cross walk stripes every year even though not one single motorist knows what they are!
visitors to mtl be warned! no one is stopping or slowing down if you’re using a crosswalk!

I live in Chicago and you can’t even get anybody to stop at STOP signs, let alone crosswalks.

It’s MUCH safer to cross in the middle of the block.

That’s funny, in Hanover, NH there’s the opposite problem. Pedestrians just throw themselves out into traffic secure in the knowledge that, because they are legally in the right, they are immune to the laws of physics and cannot be harmed by cars. I drive through that town like a fighter pilot in enemy airspace.
