There's nothing remotely big enough on that sucker that would be tractor tire sized once cooked. Anyway, that being said, it is a pretty darn huge example. Calamari shrinks a LOT when cooked. However, I read this story elsewhere and it appears that what was caught was a "giant squid" (in the colloquial) but not a Giant Squid (scientific). What was caught in New Zealand was a Colossal Squid and these are not related to the more mythical/enigmatic Giant Squid. There are two separate Wiki articles for each.
