Believe it or not, Blockbuster stocks it - they even "featured" it for awhile. It is a brilliant documentary. Don't be afraid of being offended by the prostitution in the movie; it is almost non-existent in the film. The film is all about these kids - some of them intellectual giants, others just normal - and how they perceive the world around them. Fantastic. I've seen Born into Brothels. These poor, status-less, uneducated children took some photographs that were truly amazing...and ended up opening doors to a better life. And if they did try to fake it, I would have expected more sensationalized photos (e.g. pictures of other homeless kids, druggies, etc.). The kid didn't necessarily live on the streets (often hopped from friend's home to friend's home), so it's likely that he didn't need the money THAT bad. He was probably just appreciative of someone doing something nice for him, and for a fun diversion. Why would someone go through the trouble to fake the story?
