Jupiter’s Moon Io.

Today’s Cellar/Neatorama Picture of the Week comes from the always awesome Astronomy Picture of the Day (better known by its acronym APOD) website. This photo of Jupiter’s moon Io was taken by the Galileo spacecraft and it showed giant volcanic plumes rising miles above the moon: Link

I LOVE APOD, although sometimes the shots are almost TOO fantastic.

I wouldn’t be terribly surprised to find out that every single object is just a greyish ball, and that they have a team of Photoshop experts competing to create the coolest looking photo.
