They are speaking Chinese either from southern coastal China or Taiwan. If I were a betting man I'd put my money on Taiwan.

It seems to me that if you wanted to make something similar to this taiwanese version you would want to lay the lines of glue down not just parallel, but to have them sort of fan out so that the back to the seat would be stable.
