By Anita in Home & Garden, Video Clips on Feb 5, 2007 at 9:28 am

I stumbled on this amazing fold-up couch while browsing YouTube this morning. Does anyone know where these can be purchased? Push play to watch the video, or follow this link [YouTube].

Looks like James Industries (Slinky) will get their whack at the old DMCA shakedown shenani-goats with this baby’s clear “it’s fun for a boy and a girl” intellectual property provenance.

Reminds me of a troublewit – no Wiki page, but a google search will give you an idea.

    Origami furniture – whoda thunk?

I also have to ask, as did inscrutable monkeysocks – what kinda of weight does it support? Teacup poodles?

They are speaking Chinese either from southern coastal China or Taiwan. If I were a betting man I’d put my money on Taiwan.

It seems to me that if you wanted to make something similar to this taiwanese version you would want to lay the lines of glue down not just parallel, but to have them sort of fan out so that the back to the seat would be stable.

It looks like it’s going to break as soon as you relax on it.

What happen if you race someone to sit on it?

It looks like it’s made of corrugated cardboard.
