haha, pretty neat, but i dont see the usefulness in that unless you dont have any wall space left. slow, probably expensive, and a little awkward.

The company promotes it as a way to have your room decor unspoiled by a TV. I wouldn't consider that important. The main advantage I see is the rotation. Whether that justifies the expense is another question.

What happens if you er ... have a certain physical activity in bed? Like jumping on your bed (what you're thinking something else?). You'd probably ruin the TV!

another unnecessary decadence for people with more money than sense. Surely sitting that close to a 50" TV is no good anyway...

Dust tends to cumulate more under the bed... not very good for a tv.

Jumping on the bed would definitly break the tv if it's still under the bed. Making some humpin with your sex partner would cause the same effect I presume.

I would hate to see the repair bill on one of those.

Just put that flat screen tv on a wall... it's prettier and a lot less expensive.

You can't tilt Plasma screens over 20 deg out of vertical or else you can loose pixels(unable to be fixed). This would only work on a LCD flat screen.

Why don't you do what has been done in the movies, and seems to be a lot cheaper?

Either hang it on the wall, or if you find it to be ugly, don't have one in your bedroom. Or, make it so you can push a button so it rotates behind the wall, similar to those walls that would have bookcases which would lead to a hidden room.

I like those chest of drawers with mechanism that pops up the flat panel TV at a touch of a button.
