    Perfect timing. I was watching Mythbusters tonight, it was the whirlpool episode. They had a clip of the footage in it.

    Man, this is amazing…I was too young to remember it when it happened, but that’s probably for the best. At an impressionable six years of age, it would have given me a paralyzing fear of lakes!

    The ultimate topper is the fact that the only casualties were three dogs and a lake full of freshwater fish. But something tells me Texaco got a lot more cautious in their drilling after such a whopper of a bungle!

    Younglings! I was 14 years old and a freshman in high school. I don’t remember ever hearing about this.
