    ADHD doesn't exist.

I know that won't make me popular here. And I know there are people on this site taking Ritalin or whatever else because they were 'diagnosed' with ADHD. But bottom line here is you have been misinformed and you have not looked in to it.

Go to http://www.cchr.org and find out the facts for yourself.

No offense Matt, but coming from someone who has ADHD, it's very real.

Unlike your pal Xenu and "The Galactic Confederacy"

That site only claims that ADHD cannot be proved by objective evidence. That does not mean it does not exist. The large amounts of pain associated with Fibromyalgia cannot be proven to exist by objective evidence. Does that mean that people who are victims of that disease are lying about their pain? No. It does not.

In fact, PMS and cramping used to be thought to be completely psychosomatic, because it was difficult to prove them with objective evidence. Nevertheless I have no doubt in my mind that I have indeed experienced them.

In other words, Matt, I don't buy your story.

Although I think there is a high number of wrongly diagnosed ADHD children, I do also believe that it is a real and sometimes severe problem for many people. If anything, people should determine what exactly the symptoms are and create a foolproof way to diagnose it and make doctors use it. Using non-medicinal treatments may also be preferable in many cases like mine was.
When I was around 10 I was diagnosed with mild ADD but in my favour I had gone to a specialist instead of my GP. Instead of drugs, they put me on a weekly program at their practice that focused on concentration skills in a children-friendly environment, and within a year my grades had gone up and my symptoms had all but disappeared; even my teachers had begun commenting about the turnaround and they hadn't even known about the problem. It's been 9 years since and for the most part I've been exceptionally good. I still occassionally have lapses of daydreaming distraction but nothing compared to what it was.

    I am not a Scientologist.

The fact that CCHR was founded in part by the Church of Scientology doesn't discredit the facts behind ADHD. There are numerous doctors, politicians, researchers, parents, victims, etc who support the view of millions of Americans like me that know psychiatry and all their made up disorders are nothing more than bunk.

    Do your research.
