Update 2/8/07: Ana Semways, the editor of Spare Room from which this clip was originally posted, has an update. Turns out the ship was a freighter called “Suilven,” not a ferry between Newfoundland and Cape Breton.

Hey, this is from New Zealand (traversing the straight of water between the north and south island). We put this up last week and reddit got everyone looking 
. Thought the geeks might be interested in the MetService report on the conditions of that particular ferry crossing.

Wow that reminds me of when I worked as a singer on a cruise ship in 1973. It was like that then and the band’s gear got smashed and people were injured.
