Ha! Not this teen! I was on Facebook for awhile, but stopped, because… well, it was incredibly dumb. Ironically, like most teens.
Besides, my friend’s mom just got on Facebook.
Which is kind of strange.

This study has been widely misreported, just as political polls tend to be. Pew surveyed fewer than 1000 teens. 500 or so used social networking sites.
Extrapolating these numbers to imply that half of all teenagers (or moms, or doctors) in the US do anything is preposterous. It’s not a large enough sample.
