Arrrgh. Times are hard for the Dallas sports fan. This abortion happened just a week before Tony Romo would do the unthinkable in the first round of the NFL playoffs. At least the Stars went on to win that game in a pretty routine shootout–a chance the Cowboys wouldn’t get.

To give the guy credit, the puck did take a bad bounce of the ice (which is why you see goalies chopping up the ice in front of the net before every period) causing the puck to bounce over his stick when he was going to backhand it in. Check the replay.
However, he should have put it in the net ASAP before getting to that point.
