Saddam Hussein Hanged.

By Alex in Crime & Law, Politics on Dec 30, 2006 at 2:31 am

Saddam Hussein was executed by hanging in Camp Justice, northern Baghdad, Iraq, as punishment for crimes against humanity, following his trial for the 1982 killings of 142 Shia people in Iraq.

The execution was filmed and undoubtedly, given the nature of the Internet, the clip will surface. Whether main TV news channels will show it is a matter of controversy.

Wow, James Brown, Gerald Ford and Saddam Hussein all in one week. I guess these things really do come in threes.

That’ll show ‘em for knockin’ down ‘dem towers!

I really, really thought that it was likely that Saddam was somehow going to escape our clutches last minute and regain control of Iraq. Oh well. Now I have to wait until January 22nd for Prison Break to come back on Fox.

Tonight, a moment of silence, followed by a rousing game of hangman.

Saddam Hussein, 1937-2006. A man who so desperately wanted friends.

Given the fact that you can’t go to YouTube.com without being assaulted by clips of Steve Irwin’s demise, I would be thoroughly shocked if the site WASN’T swamped.

As for you, Lester, please take your sick, misplaced levity and crawl back under the rock you came from.

First: Sorry I offended you, Denita, but I’m not going to crawl back under the rock I came from. The ground is frozen up here in Alaska. But seriously, I’m sorry that I apparently offended you.

    Second: Lighten up a little.
