hogwash. I don’t buy it as it doesn’t very well jive with the way cellphone operate. Only way is to remove the battery? What about turning it off? These are the same people who believe your computer can be hacked into over the power lines even when it is off - so long as it is plugged in. Remember THAT scare? Give me a break.

Sam, keep in mind that even though you turn the main device off, parts can still continue to run wihtout it. Same goes for computers that have been turned off but have a LAN boot enabled so you can boot them up remotely by sending a command to it. Same process can be EASILY applied to any cellphone if someone would want to.
I highly doubt the cellphone manufacturers would allow such a thing though.
