These are available through Dr. Fosters and Smith (catalogs and online).
We have one (a larger model) & it works GREAT – but it only ‘digests’ waste at temps above 40 degrees.
Waste can be deposited in it year round though, and it’s nice for all of us having a doodie-free yard to walk on!

Remember, it’s just like a real septic tank. If you don’t have decently draining soils, the “stuff” won’t go away.

I was disappointed to find in the instructions that you need to dig a 4 foot deep hole for this system and if you hit clay you’re out of luck. Here in the south we hit clay after 18 inches. I’m thinking of installing a little French drain away from the bucket as an alternative. Has anyone tried this?
