Doyle Dykes is the one Chet Atkins said was the best guitar player he has ever saw.

iTunes has McKee’s album, it was a small matter of shelling out a pittance in virtual cash and waiting a couple minutes. I’ve been enjoying his work for about half an hour, now. Great driving tunes, very relaxing. Count me a new fan!

Sure is a lot of people playing in that “unique style”. I don’t know… I think it is impressive as hell, but it somehow leans more towards being a novelty than memorable music. I’m probably just jealous.

and also Trace Bundy – http://www.tracebundy.com/ – IMO he’s a good bit better than Andy McKee. When Andy plays it sounds like he’s too busy experimenting, trace bundy makes it into a full song.

This sounds very much like Michael Hedges, an amazing player and good soul, taken from us way too early. You can still find lots of his music.
