Andy McKee Playing Guitar.

By Alex in Music, Video Clips on Dec 18, 2006 at 2:24 am

Here’s Andy McKee playing guitar, in his own unique style: Hit play or go to Link [YouTube] via Spluch | Andy McKee’s Website

If you like that, you’d probably also like Jake Shimabukuro playing While My Ukulele Gently Weeps | Hannes Coetzee playing guitar with a teaspoon slider.

Awesome music, very easy on the ears! Someone has definitely been inspired by Stanley Jordan...

This sounds very much like Michael Hedges, an amazing player and good soul, taken from us way too early. You can still find lots of his music.

and also Trace Bundy - http://www.tracebundy.com/ - IMO he's a good bit better than Andy McKee. When Andy plays it sounds like he's too busy experimenting, trace bundy makes it into a full song.

Sure is a lot of people playing in that "unique style". ;) I don't know... I think it is impressive as hell, but it somehow leans more towards being a novelty than memorable music. I'm probably just jealous.

iTunes has McKee's album, it was a small matter of shelling out a pittance in virtual cash and waiting a couple minutes. I've been enjoying his work for about half an hour, now. Great driving tunes, very relaxing. Count me a new fan! :-)

Doyle Dykes is the one Chet Atkins said was the best guitar player he has ever saw.

I agree about Trace Bundy. I have seen him play twice and he is incredible. Check him out.
