    That Jason & the Argonauts statue used to freak me out … especially that metallic scraping noise that it made. I seriously had a fear of statues for a long time. Damn you Ray Harryhausen!

    I am pretty sure I’ve seen every one of these movies. They used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid!

    Many of you probably know that the restaurant in “Monsters, Inc.” was called Harry Hausen’s, in tribute to this early animation pioneer.

    I was a little surprised at how non-cheesy a lot of these clips look. Harryhausen’s effects are obviously dated in a lot of ways, and often very obviously staged, but most of these still look really, genuinely cool.
