   I believe dye is injected into the fish subcutaneously with a syringe. There is more info about it, along with an appeal not to buy such fish, on the Practical Fishkeeping Magazine website:

   Gloria, I know what you mean. There’s something about the lighting they use that makes them look fake, but apparently there is such a thing as fish tattoos.

   I just saw these in my local fish store. In Fort Lee NJ. They had a few with fairly poor tattoos. It’s not right to subject a pet to unnecessary pain. Real fish markings are so beautiful, why do this?

   they dip the fish in a acid bath to take the protective slim off and inject them with food colouring

    this reminds me of those transparent fish that are inyected with some stuff in their spines so their bones are fluorescent. Poor fish!

    While In Hollywood I Seen Writing On Rice Then Placed In A Tube Of Colored Water To Year As A Necklace Thats Cool Hurting Living Things Is Not! Dont Buy Them And Tell Those Who Sell Them You Will No Longer Shop There Store Unless They Stop Selling Them It Reminds Me Of Ivory
