Yeah, but it’s just done by soaking them in grape juice, which is much less impressive.
One of my favorite bloggers, Marvo, did a great review of the grapple on his site, The Impulsive Buy, a few months ago:

I tried one of these last year and threw the rest out. They are absolutely horrible.
They taste like grape kooaid and are way too expensive for their yucky taste.
Marvo has the best tagline I’ve seen: Putting the Ew in “Product Review”. Hahaha!
Here’s my review

(summary: smell like grape, taste like apple)
I’ve had ‘em…they’re just “eh.” Nothing spectacular. I’d prefer a nice, juicy Granny Smith apple fresh out of the crisper, thanks.

These weren’t the all that bad, but I am like Denita TwoDragons in that I think I would rather just east a Granny Smith.
Well, I can say that my kids LOVE these and usually eat a package or two within hours of getting home from the grocery store. So if a little grape juice gets my kids to eat more fresh fruit, I’m all for it.
