If you have a drinking glass that really sweats, won’t the SpongeCoaster allow the liquid to saturate it and to soak through to the surface it’s sitting on. I can’t see that there is anything preventing that from happening.

If your drinking glass really sweats won’t the SpongeCoaster absorb the liquid to the point of saturation thus allowing the liquid to soak through to the surface it’s sitting on? I don’t see anything to prevent this from happening. Even if there was a protective cover on the bottom the liquid would eventually escape from the sides and drip down to the surface it’s sitting on. I doubt if I’d buy this product.
