Gordon Cook (yes, British) explains his unique brand of DIY dentistry:

Gordon Cook, 55, has used the bizarre "DIY dentistry" technique on a loose crown for the last three years – with each fresh application of glue lasting around two months.

This is nothing unusual. The mom of a friend had been gluing 3 crowns on for a couple of years until just last week. All crowns are glued on. All that dentists do is use a longer lasting adhesive.

Was chatting about DIY dentistry with a pal the other night. I’m adapting my own crowns from stock teeth and have bought some dental cement for fixing them (no mre expensive than other glue). A story came out of a bloke that was hospitalised, poisoned by using superglue. If it was the glue or an infection trapped under the tooth or if it really happened I don’t know; but I’m really not sure about putting cyano-acrylate in my mouth…

I’m pretty sure duct tape would last longer
