The Beachless Sgt. Petsound

Clayton Counts mixed both albums, the Sgt. Peppers from The Beatles and the Pet Sounds from The Beach Boys. The resulting mixture, even being only noise, can be heard and sounds correct. You can hear backbeats and reprises from one on the other and they still seem playing chordly.

After that Clayton started receivin insults and menacing letters. Even he had to retire the album from direct download. The nex quotation is from the page I’ve got saved in my file archive:

Below you will find a track-for-track mash-up of the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds with the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Of course, I say “mash-up” because I wouldn’t know what else to call it. It’s really more of an abstract record

You might also want to take a look at this – an mp3 of all the songs on Pet Sounds playing at the same time.
