Donut Shop Owner Eloped, Not Kidnapped.

A 31-year-old woman believed kidnapped from her El Monte doughnut shop was actually trying to elope with her ex-boyfriend in Las Vegas, according to police.

Vanna Nou, also known as Lili Nou, disappeared Friday morning about 8 a.m., prompting a search by her family and El Monte police, who released her photo and a description. It was discovered that Nou was trying to get married, except that she forgot her identification card and couldn’t seal the deal in Vegas, according to police.
