This is an old one - perhaps 5 years old. The ad was in a Toronto newspaper. I happened to be in Toronto on business the day the ad came out... I can remember a lively discussion in the hotel's restaurant that morning about job prospect for the guy. Everybody seemed to be on his side.

So what, force him into a minimum wage job, in which a life of crime seems much more attractive and having him fall into shady business again?

If I had a company, I'd hire him. He's honest, and he certainly MUST be reformed if he's willing to put up an ad like that. Good luck to him!

If I could, I'd hire him. That's amazing business skills he has. Think about it. If his business was legal it would have been a fortune 500 company he managed. as what? CEO? Now you could hire him cheap. & it sounds like he's reformed. Good luck dude.

What? The guy was a drug dealer. Took responsibility for his actions? Did he turn himself in? Probably wasn't remorseful til he got caught. So many other people deserve a decent job more than he does.

He should be lucky to get a job at McDonald's.

Sure, its funny, but probably a good idea on his part. The ONLY way he could explain his extensive business experience and talent is to be totally honest about it. I hope this guy found a productive (and legal) position.
