Presidential Doodles.

The creators of Cabinet Magazine have put together a book called Presidential Doodles: a collection of two centuries of scribbles, scratches, squiggles and scrawls from the Oval Office.

This one is the 23rd US President Benjamin Harrison’s doodles:

This drawing of a jack-o’-lantern-style face and an ostrich-like bird surely ranks as one of the greatest doodles in presidential history. It suggests a zany, mischievous streak in Harrison, as well as a capacity for conveying a surprising degree of human emotion.

    When I saw the headline I thought it was going to be the kind of “Presidential Doodle” that Kay Summersby and Judith Exner were familiar with.
