I recall learning a lot about networks those days which has helped me understand networks more so today. With the advent of SIP Trunking its hard to imagine dial tone over ethernet these days. I have searched hard and wide and found some of the special exar xr-2207 chips to make a blue box. Although they dont seem to work these days they do work on some old exchanges and are now a great tool for the projectMF.com asterisk hack. Yes use the blue box to 2600 your way into the asterisk for making outbound calls on voip. I have some chips for those that are interested and you will also need 16 push button switches.
