MicroWorld: Fantastic Voyage with Scanning Electron Microscopy.

By Alex in Pictures, Science & Tech on Aug 20, 2006 at 5:43 pm

Flickr user Reciprocity has a fantastic narrative for MicroWorld photoset, where the scanning electron micrographs of various crystals serve as out-of-this-world settings of an exploration of some strange planet.

This one above is an electron micrograph of tin oxide crystal – the width of the image is 30 microns, or half the thickness of a human hair.

I would like information on the SEM scanning electron micrograph-the best plaintive books to read on the understanding of how they operate and use in scanning cellular abnormalties.
