The Romans had toilets like this because, like most people, they got some of their best ideas while on the pot. Intellectuals would meet to discuss the latest and greatest philosophies with eachother in such a setting.

We have a great women’s bathroom in Helsinki. It’s on the 14th floor in the hotel Torni in the center of Helsinki. It’s holding the title of the Toilet with a best view. Going there for the first time feels a bit weird since the walls are basicly all window. But since you’re sitting on the top of the city, no one can you, but you can see everywhere.

the best part of the roman public toilets is that people can high five when they rip a good one.

    What a great blog!

I think that more establishments should take the time and make bathrooms more artistic. Hopefully you have inspired some people!
