Charlie gets along very well I think. I just had a 5 legged puppy that was dropped off where I work. Sadly this puppy can not walk well and falls because the two front legs on one side are causing him to lose his balance. Maybe when he gets older he can adjust better to his deformity. If not I will opt to have them removed if I can afford the surgery.

I agree - if the dog is thriving, then why operate on him and put him through that? If the potential adopters don't like "the deformity" then why on earth are they considering adopting him? Can't this agency find someone to adopt Charlie just as he is?

It's tragic and ridiculous that Charlie's potential adopters won't take him the way he is. What, are they afraid that his fifth leg won't match their furniture? As a parent of five adopted cats I speak from experience when I say that's not why you adopt pets.
