Deep Fried Burger.

From the website:

Yes, it’s pretty gross. This started out as a dare from a friend on IRC, one I immediately said "OK!" to. It took a few weeks to work up the courage to try. First off, it was surprisingly tasty - everything was kind of nicely nutty, and if I’d had to eat 1/5th of one, that’d be just nice. Something like chocolate mud cake, a little goes a long way. I did eat the whole thing in the end though - it was the heaviest thing I’d ever munched on, and left me unable to each for a good 24 hours afterwards. It was thursday’s lunch, and I didn’t feel hungry until friday afternoon :).

In Scotland everything is deep fried. Deep fried pizza is commonplace as are deep fried Mars Bars.

It’s kitchen string to keep it together while deep frying. Even touching that would make me hurl.

I had something close to this in a Chip Shop in Scotland. I was trying to avoid eating one more batter dipped & fried food item and so I ordered a hamburger. The patty was - you guessed it - batter dipped & deep fried. Coronary-on-a-bun.

Nothing unusual there at all, we’ve been able to buy battered burgers in Ireland for decades, they are as common as fish and chips!

and i thought the Monte Cristo that you get at Bennigan’s was bad. for those who dont know here is what it is

A delicious combination of ham and turkey, plus Swiss and American cheeses on wheat bread. Lightly battered and fried until golden. Dusted with powdered sugar and served with red raspberry preserves for dipping
