Other markers said other things, but the basic concept is the same. They&#039;re often found in the middle of the crosswalk at an intersection. Repeated driving over the marker slowly embeds it into the asphalt. I&#039;ve seen a few that were more than 8 years old... ones that I saw when I visited before moving to Philly 7 years ago.</description>
