I see your point (and his point on the website), but I’m going to disagree that this was deliberately ripping off the Thundercats stance. It’s a parody of Mel Gibson in Braveheart (the kilt and the words make that clear), and the Thundercats resemblance is likely either subconscious or totally unintentional.
