Who’s Sarah Josepha Hale Again?

Chances are you don’t know about Sarah Josepha Hale (1788 – 1979 1879), but you should.

Two facts about Sarah: One, she petitioned President Lincoln for a national holiday now known as Thanksgiving Day.

Two, she wrote the nursery rhyme "Mary Had a Little Lamb". Link

    Uhm, she lived from 1788 to 1979? Guess there’s a third thing we should know about Sarah — she lived for 191 years, plus or minus. :D
