Who’s Sarah Josepha Hale Again?

Chances are you don’t know about Sarah Josepha Hale (1788 – 1979 1879), but you should.

Two facts about Sarah: One, she petitioned President Lincoln for a national holiday now known as Thanksgiving Day.

Two, she wrote the nursery rhyme "Mary Had a Little Lamb". Link

The Moon Alphabet.

The Moon alphabet for blind people, created by Dr. William Moon in 1847, consists of embossed shapes that can be read by touch. It is easier to learn than Braille, especially for those who lose their sight later in life. Link
